·    Preserve the character of our neighborhoods, including the historic

·    Create a city-wide traffic management plan that’s pedestrian-friendly

·    Develop a plan to upgrade our aging infrastructure

·    Save our public parks and open space for public use

·    Promote more youth activities and after-school programs

·    Achieve quality spending and management along with fiscal responsibility

·    Encourage public participation in every process

Bring neighborhood concepts to City Hall

Encourage more consistent opportunities for public participation throughout every process

Find alternative and new revenue sources – grants, volunteers, corporate and court ordered, etc.

Protect neighborhoods from inappropriate development. Keep it to scale and in character

Create pedestrian-friendly streets

Work tirelessly and tenaciously to save our parks, wetlands and historic places

Save money down the road by updating technology at City Hall and furthering the clean energy and green building initiatives

Develop a plan for replacing the aging infrastructure

Insist on quality spending in education along with fiscal responsibility

Save current stock – and promote additional workforce housing dispersed throughout Norwalk

Strengthen and expand zoning ordinances, regulations and enforcement

Strengthen proactive long-range planning throughout all city departments

Support police and emergency services with updated technology

Gear traffic calming and road improvements towards safe, slow and steady

Develop more youth activities – more athletic fields, youth centers, after school programs and structured activities in parks

Create master plans for our parks – review public park usage and activities – comprehensive approach for improved management

Explore Village District designations for lower East Avenue, Liberty Square and other possible locations

Promote eco-friendly strategies

Increase the property tax rebate and the amount of property tax that can be deferred for seniors on low fixed incomes

Recognize our diverse population – and that each of us has health, safety and quality of life needs

Improve communication amongst city and state officials, city and state departments, and neighborhood leaders
